Corrpro Canada Inc. Announces Acquisition of PureHM Assets

Corrpro Canada, Inc (“Corrpro”), a leading Canadian provider of cathodic corrosion protection services, is pleased to announce the expansion of its product offering with the acquisition of substantially all of the oil, gas and energy assets of PureHM Inc.. As part of the transaction, Corrpro has also acquired a global exclusive license to certain intellectual properties related to the acquired assets to be applied within the oil, gas and energy pipeline inspection business.

The acquisition enables Corrpro to provide solutions for regulated inspections of key pipeline infrastructure that deliver energy products. Corrpro uses best-in-class technologies and provides operators with actionable information needed to identify problem areas, reduce unnecessary pipeline repairs, and prolong asset life ensuring that pipelines are fit for service. Corrpro is now able to provide the Spectrum XLI and Armadillo tracking tools which are proven to increase efficiency and deliver high integrity pipeline data to our customers.

Today was a day of double celebrations, marking a significant milestone for Corrpro Canada as well as embracing the spirited tradition of the 2024 Calgary Stampede. The team and guests gathered at Owen’s Landing in Calgary, which was the perfect venue to kick-off both exciting events.

Today, we are honored to share our collaborative effort with the City of Calgary, Associated Engineering, and Volker Stevin Contracting Ltd. in addressing the critical water main issue in Calgary, Alberta.

When the City of Calgary hired Associated Engineering to lead this vital project they, in turn, brought Corrpro Canada on board for our specialized expertise. Our role was crucial, as we provided critical stray current testing to ensure the integrity of the water supply system.

Volker Stevin Contracting Ltd. took charge of site excavation, providing safe and efficient access for our team. Their dedication to safety and meticulous execution were pivotal in enabling us to carry out our work effectively.

Together, we are making a significant impact on Calgary’s infrastructure. Thank you to the City of Calgary for spearheading this initiative, Associated Engineering for their trust in our capabilities, and Volker Stevin for their exceptional work and support. Please join us in welcoming Trevor MacFarlane, Yves Paletta, and Michael McNulty to the Corrpro Canada board. We are eager to harness their insights to propel Corrpro Canada forward and provide more value for our customers.

Meet the Additions to Our Industry Leading Board

Michael (Mick) McNulty

Calgary, AB

Mick is an independent businessman with over 40 years of experience in the oilfield service and private equity sectors. Most recently Mr. McNulty was Managing Partner at PillarFour Capital up until his retirement in 2022. Prior to PillarFour, Mr. McNulty served as CFO for Calfrac Well Services from 2013 to 2016; CFO and then CEO of Saxon Energy Services Inc. from 2005 until 2013 (sold to Schlumberger and First Reserve for $700 million); various senior financial positions at Precision Drilling from 1997 to 2005 and 16 years at Schlumberger. Mr. McNulty is a Fellow of the Association of Certified and Chartered Accountants. He currently sits as the Chair of Krux Analytics Inc. and is a board member of Trican Well Services and the Autism Calgary Association. Previous board positions included Fluid Energy Group, NuWave Industries Inc, STEP Energy Services Ltd. and KidzCare Africa.

Yves Paletta

London, UK

Yves is a senior executive with a 35-year track record of leading successful global organizations, having previously served as the President and CEO of Clearstream Energy Services (rebranded Flint) from 2018 to 2022. Prior thereto, Yves was the President & CEO of Logstor Group , a supplier of pre‐insulated pipe systems based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Prior to his role at Logstor, Mr. Paletta served as the Managing Director of SBM Offshore, based in Rotterdam, Netherlands from 2012 to 2013. From 2005 to 2012, Mr. Paletta was Senior Vice President for Bredero Shaw, first based in Houston, Texas, and then in London, England. Yves also spent 17 years at Veolia Environmental, most recently as Executive VP Water Systems. He has his MBA and has his ICD.D designation. Mr. Paletta currently sits on the board member of Core Linepipe and acts as an Advisor to the Bayou Companies. Previous board positions included PipeCare Group.

Trevor MacFarlane

Calgary, AB

Trevor brings over 30 years of energy infrastructure experience including areas of expertise in strategic planning, operational risk management and technology. He was an early Partner at Dynamic Risk, a Canadian pipeline integrity management solutions leader. For over 20 years, Trevor helped build the start-up from a 3-person company to become a global leader in its field until its successful exit in 2021 to Eddyfi/NDT. He was later appointed President of NDT Global, a billion-dollar international technology-as-a-service company, a leader in ultrasonic pipeline inspection and data analysis. Trevor holds a Masters in Metallurgical Engineering from Queen’s University and completed advanced leadership programs, including a Quantum Shift Fellow, from the Ivy School of Business. Mr. MacFarlane currently sits on the Board of the Canadian Energy Pipeline Association (CEPA) Foundation as well as an Independent Director for Skipper NDT and Entropy.
