Corrpro Canada’s Commitment
By consistently choosing to do what is right, Corrpro Canada™ holds itself to a higher standard to differentiate it in the marketplace and create a stronger workplace. As a forward-thinking company, Corrpro Canada is dedicated to working with Indigenous communities to foster economic growth and opportunity. In the spirit of reconciliation, Corrpro Canada has developed an Indigenous Participation Plan (IPP) to facilitate collaboration and understanding.
Corrpro’s Engagement
Corrpro Canada’s engagement approach is based on a genuine desire to establish, build, and maintain long standing relationships. Strategies include identifying businesses owned by or affiliated with Indigenous communities that can provide services or materials for projects. Corrpro Canada has partnered with several Indigenous owned and managed companies in various provinces across Canada which include businesses such as office supplies, excavators, safety
services, hydro-vac and more. This also includes collaboration with the Education, Employment, and Training Departments of various communities to identify opportunities to train community members and enable them to become active participants in projects and develop skills for future opportunities.
Reconciliation
Reconciliation is evidenced by broad collaboration between Indigenous and non-Indigenous governments, as well as the net positive economic impact on both communities. These partnerships and collaborations promote economic growth and cultural preservation by supporting opportunities that align with the values and interests of the community and its members. The evidence of a truly inclusive engagement process is the diversity of activities present during the planning phase and afterwards. Corrpro Canada is committed to seeking advice from key members of each community we work in and learn about the appropriateness of including the right protocols and ceremonies in the collaboration process.
Participation
It is Corrpro Canada’s desire to work with local Indigenous communities to determine opportunities for meaningful participation throughout the project which establish an open and constructive dialogue with the community and the local organizations interested in participating in all aspects of the project and encourage active, constructive, participation. While we have been building relationships with Indigenous groups for many years, Corrpro Canada is committed to enhancing transparency by expanding reporting on the implementation of our IPP and the steps we are taking to integrate Indigenous rights and knowledge into our business.
At Corrpro Canada, we recognize and acknowledge:
That there are many distinctive Indigenous communities and Tribes with unique languages, traditions, cultures, rights, and protocols.
That all Canadians, including the corporate sector, must play a role in advancing the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) Calls to Action and in particular, Action 92, Business and Reconciliation.
“This participation plan is more than just a business initiative—it’s a reflection of our core values as a company. We are committed to building long-term relationships with Indigenous communities based on respect, collaboration, and shared prosperity. We believe this is not just good business practice, but the right thing to do.”
